We are dedicated to creating magical experiences for children facing cancer, providing them with moments of joy and wonder during challenging times. These experiences not only offer a glimmer of hope but also play a crucial role in reducing stress and anxiety for these brave children. Research has shown that fulfilling a child's wish while battling a critical illness can significantly impact their mental health and well-being, helping them thrive and recharge amidst struggles. We understand the challenges families face when unexpected costs arise. That's why we've established the Ben Stelter Medical Equipment program, offering essential, non-covered medical equipment to families free of charge. Operating successfully at the Stollery Children's Hospital and B.C. Children's Hospital, we are dedicated to expanding this program across Western Canada. Your support can make a tangible difference in the lives of these brave children, providing them with the tools they need to navigate their medical journeys with comfort and dignity. Items purchased to date include wheelchairs, specialized walkers, at-home hospital beds, and oxygen machines.
We want to fund outcome based research to find better treatments and possible cures for Glioblastoma and other pediatric cancers.
We are committed to advancing research that paves the way for improved treatments and, hopefully, a cure for devastating conditions like Glioblastoma and other brain tumors. In close collaboration with the Women and Children's Health Research Institute , we are thrilled to announce our support for Dr. Nobre's Liquid Biopsy project. Dr. Nobre's innovative research focuses on diagnosing and monitoring brain tumor patients using non-invasive methods such as analyzing bodily fluids like spinal fluid and blood samples, steering away from traditional invasive procedures. This transformative two-year project we are funding holds great promise in revolutionizing how we approach brain tumor diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
We continue to explore other research projects relating to pediatric cancer and brain tumours.
We will invest in unique, creative, innovative, entrepreneurial projects and entities that help with cancer treatments and potential cures.
A powerful tribute to Ben Stelter, produced by his favorite, the Edmonton Oilers
