Our Team

Mike (Ben's dad) is our Executive Director. Mike is passionate about helping other families who are battling cancer and is dedicated to ensure Ben's legacy is strong and that Benny would be proud of the work being done to help all kids battling cancer.

Lea (Ben's mom) is our board secretary. Lea is driven to strengthen Ben's legacy and do everything possible to help other families battling cancer and provide the best outcomes for those kids.

Ashif is our board chair. Ashif met Ben at a birthday drive for Ben and was captured by Ben's kindness. Ashif and his family have since been strong supporters of Ben and helped, along with Connor McDavid, form the Ben Stelter Foundation.

Dr. Mary-Pat Schlosser is a board director. Mary, a pediatric oncologist and assistant professor at the University of Alberta, also was Ben's oncologist. She is deeply passionate about caring for pediatric cancer patients and helping provide better outcomes.

Doug is a board director.  Doug Goss is a highly regarded member of the legal and business sectors who has made significant contributions to the quality of life of his fellow Albertans and Canadians. His longstanding work as a community leader has ranged from programs for children, to health and post-secondary education, to amateur and professional sport.
